The commercial continues..."What could you do with an extra...one fifth second?"
In fifth second increments, scenes of learning a new language, kissing a loved one, etc., flash up on the screen. Added up, the smallest increments become significant blocks of time. This is an extraordinary illustration of what it means to, wherever and whenever possible, find new ways to save the smallest amounts of time.
People are looking for new ways to free themselves of the trivial so they can focus more on what is important rather than just what is urgent. At the risk of sounding Zen: it should be our goal to be human beings rather than just human doings.
To value time and simplicity we must examine how to make everything easier and more enjoyable, whatever "it" is, then we have to look at the repetition involved and determine what we can do to make it faster, better, easier and more convenient.
